Bajan Fuh Eva

    About Our Band

Bajan Fuh Evah was founded in Nov 2010, to promote a Cultural Society. Bajan Fuh Evah states the goal is to build a society that is positive. Their objective is to represent Barbados in a positive way, by engaging the youth in community projects, to encourage all Barbadians to take pride in their heritage and traditions, while sharing our unique culture with all the young people growing up in various communities across the United States.

After pondering many different names in my head,  the decision was made to stick to the first choice. “Bajan Fuh Evah”. The name said it all. A Bajan will be Bajan forever!  Welcome to Bajan Fuh Evah!

        Euphoria Production

        About Our Band

At the tail end of the Miami/Broward Carnival in 2008, we decided we wanted to be part of and producer of a mas band in South Florida; “to enhance the Carnival experience for each masquerader one wine at a time.” Euphoria Mas debuted in 2009, adding new fresh faces and ideas to the Carnival scene. We are an organization dedicated to bringing the culture and spirit of our homeland, the twin islands of Trinidad and Tobago, to our adopted home of the USA.

An all-inclusive mas band with unlimited premium drinks, we have grown to over 1000 revellers from our start back in 2009 with 150 revellers. This year has been a tremendous year for us. We launched our Warrior Within collection on May 21st and anyone interested in joining us this year had better hurry, we are selling out fast!  We have also added a Kiddies Carnival Band, (Euphoria Minis) and our J’Ouvert band “Dutty Pleasures”.

Each Columbus Day weekend, the South Florida Caribbean community joins together to display their culture and heritage, and to celebrate their uniqueness by participating in the Miami Broward One Carnival Parade. Along with the official launch to the season, the parade is preceded by different events including a Kiddie’s Carnival, J’Ouvert and king and queen competition. Although our version here in Miami/Fort Lauderdale is no comparison to the celebrations in Trinidad, it is nonetheless an exhilarating and culturally rich experience.

2016 will mark Euphoria Mas’ eighth year as a participant in these festivities. In 2015 we placed 2nd on de road!!  Join us on de road Columbus Day weekend! Cassy and Mariano Sealy

              Generation-X

              About Our Band

GENERATION X was launched in 1999 after the Band Leader was approached by people with promotion and carnival experience to come together to take the all-inclusive carnival experience to a higher level with innovation, ultimate customer service and quality costumes. Generation X states that “Carnival in Miami had been void of options for masqueraders. Many were desperate for a change while others had simply ceased from getting involved in the Carnival parade because of a need for a unique and professional approach to Carnival.”

Overwhelmed with requests from masqueraders seeking to be part of a fresh and vibrant ‘Carnival Experience’ Generation X was born.

Generation X, now popularly and affectionately called Gen X is a Carnival Production and Event Promotion Organization with a team that has been involved in event-planning & management and carnival for numerous years. The Gen X family, is made up of a fusion of people with expertise in every area of event planning, marketing & promotion, mas–making, fashion designing, and experienced carnival people who are focused on providing the ‘Ultimate Carnival Experience’ for Masqueraders by producing superior service, quality products and excellent value for money.

                    About Our Band

In 1996, Revel Sankar along with his daughters: Nikki, Christine and Kelli Sankar formed the Carnival band Mascots International. The band’s initial presentation was Arrowhead. What started out as a labor of love for the Sankar family and their friends has transformed into one of the premier carnival bands in Miami today. In 2016, Mascots International celebrates 20 years of mas. Twenty years of hard work, love, family, old and new friends, and bacchanal!

Mascots was a household name in Kiddies Carnival in Trinidad since the 1980’s before making the transition to adult mas and associated themselves with Stephen Leung, Wayne Berkley, Richard Affong’s “Barbarossa” and more recently TriniRevellers with D’Krewe and Roland St George, Pulse8 and Cocoa Devils with De Cocoa Crew.

We are a vibrant colorful group with many members from all over the Caribbean and the US, who participate and support us before, during, and after the carnival season in whatever venture we undertake. The bandleaders want to thank all those who have supported us through the years and for being part of the Mascots family.

                          Tichapo

                          About Our Band

TiChapo is a Haitian band that has been participating in Miami/Broward Carnival for the past 5 years. This year, TiChapo has a total of 160 masqueraders. TiChapo’s members are students and professionals that live throughout the United States. This year for the Miami/Broward Carnival 2011, TiChapo presents “Plante Pou Rekolte”. We have chosen this theme for two reasons. The devastation from natural disasters, the lack of land cultivation, deforestation, all have impacted the agriculture of this once great nation. We as a people must come together and provide education, tools, and community involvement to solve this problem. The second reason we chose this theme is to address the impact the earthquake left; to send a message or a “call out” to our brothers and sisters throughout the world including those in Haiti that we must start to plant the “seeds” today for a better tomorrow. We must combine our expertise in different areas, our power, our willingness to serve our community, (in this case Haiti), so that it can again be the great country that it once was. We must now take that pride that we have always had and turn it into action. We have four sections that illustrate our theme this year.

                            About Our Band

When you hear the name Giselle Blanche, you may not think it’s anyone you’ve heard of but if you hear the name Wassi, some recognition may occur. Her signature line is “Yuh mus’ be mad o’ what!” Her energy and charisma is undeniable, the speed of her talk is amusingly unforgettable. She has been on our local — and foreign — airwaves for many years. Residing in Miami, Florida, for several years, she visits Trinidad for the Carnival season annually and is usually a guest co-host on several stations during this time as she freelances as a marketing partner for Tropix Entertainment which is headed by promoter, Cliff Harris. Within this partnership, she promotes Fire Fete, the Army fete and the Anchorage Cooler fete, among other events
