Miami Carnival Countdown

Miami Broward One Carnival being just a mere 29 days away brings even more excitement this year as myself and a very intimate group of fellow South Florida bloggers, creatives, & media were given a sneak peek of the new MiamiBrowardCarnival.com  atop the breathtaking rooftop of the Betsy Hotel.

The all new Miami Carnival website #MBCgoeslive

MB Carnival for those not of island descent is one of the many annually held Caribbean festivals bringing together the different West Indian cultures through live music, good vibes, fun costumes, and plenty of island cuisine. Why is it so exciting this year?  Well if you’ve gone since childhood years like myself (I’m talking the Hialeah Park, Homestead Speedway, & Bayside/Bicentennial Park days) the unparalleled growth since it’s inception in 1984 speaks for it self with the number of venues it’s outgrown with 60K attendees yearly.

Sampling light bites and tasty Caribbean inspired cocktails (the Calypso Cooler was everything!) while the designers walked us through the new extremely interactive & user-friendly website. Attendees can now access all the information they need from events, accommodations, mas bands and ticket purchases in a much more organized and visually appealing setting which I believe will show an increase attendees for years to come as well as targeting our younger generations to be involved and allow the culture to keep growing.

My favorite part of the new website is their blog featuring style/beauty, food, and entertainment filled with interviews and videos of artist highlights. One artist Julien Believe – a Bahamian native and the creator of the Junkanoo Pop sound took a break from his tour to stop in and exclusively share his music video for newest hit “Party Ambassadors” which he will be performing at this year’s Carnival.

So how do you attend? Easy by visiting their website where you can purchase tickets in advance for all the events -OR- by entering their Road to Miami Carnival photo contest from now until September 30th  for the opportunity to win (2) tickets to the main event.  Can’t make it on October 9th? No worries be sure to follow me on Instagram as you won’t want to miss my live updates from behind the scenes to get you prepared for next Carnival season kicking back off in February with Trinidad & Tobago.

xo Sincerely Shanti

P.S. Special thanks to Miami Carnival, Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau,  MasLife365.com, Harris PR, & AFreeman Photography!
